Rosa Kreill-Rawls was born and raised in Munich, Germany. She came to the USA the first time in 1962 and settled in Georgia in 1968. She has a BBA (summa cum laude) from Georgia College and worked for many years for the State of Georgia.
Although always creating art in her spare time, her artist career did not flourish until 1994 when she was put on dialysis and received a kidney transplant in 2000.
Rosa studied art since 1986 under Barbara Hutto, Clarence Bethleoun, and Gena Courtney at Macon State College; Athelea Gockel at Brasstown, N.C.; Sandra Witty and Deanna Griffin of Warner Robins; Pat Weaver of Dade City, Fl; Tony Couch of Cummings, GA; Lian Zhen of Reno, NV; Tom Lynch of Naperville, ILL, Don Andrews of Fairhope, Al.; Jack Shields of Atlanta, GA. and Joseph Fettingis of Logansport, IN.
Rosa has won many awards in Perry and Macon. "Best of Show" in 2001, 2003, and 2008 in Atlanta. Her paintings are in many collections in the USA and Germany. She also has taught watercolor painting for several years and currently teaches at Macon State College (community evening classes.)
